Origins and Philosophy
In Sanskrit Tantra can take different meanings with a common theme: it could mean to draw infinite wefts or instrument to weave, or, and this is the closest concept to our Western culture, it means instrument to widen awareness’. In Western countries the practice of Tantra has been converted into a body ritual experience, an experience of listening and meditating that rides the energy from the erotic to untie resistances and bad Ego influences. This can drive us to meet our inner soul, to the union of pure hearts, with the Love and Divine Energy which is inside us, still keeping the feet on the ground.
Therefore Tantra is a psycho corporal practice that allows reaching the higher spiritual spheres. Aiming to personal evolution, Tantra focus on the reality as perceived by the five senses, giving themselves all to expand perception, free mind up from prejudices observing the multiple aspects of reality.
