Ayurvedic Massage for Man

The Ayurvedic massage was born in India about 5000 years ago, as a holistic technique to restore a balance between mind and body, stimulating above all the energy centers of the body, the so-called chakras. In fact, Ayurvedic medicine included a manipulation technique as a means to reach the goal of perfect harmony between the psyche and the bodily matter.

The ayurvedic massage consists of a medium-sweet massage treatment, which promotes blood circulation and vital fluids, a source of maintenance of the body and the mind in proper health. Acting through a manual stimulation on the chakras or energy centers of our body, the massage creates a feeling of well-being on the muscles, the circulatory, venous and immune systems; it is a global massage that includes the manipulation of body, head, face, with the aid of a warm oil, which must be gradually lowered from head to toe, with regular movements, emphasizing the manipulation in some areas of the body suffering and practicing a intense movement of energy stimulation on the chakras. Muscles and tissues are involved in this massage, which gives a strong sense of well-being to the body and mind, also promoting the quality of sleep at night.

According to the Ayurvedic philosophy, the manipulation technique used to perform the massage in question represents the means by which it is possible to achieve balance and perfect harmony between body and mind. According to Ayurveda, in fact, every part of the body is influenced by three main bioenergy, the so-called doshas (called Vata, Pitta and Kapha); an imbalance of these energies would lead to the appearance of disturbances of different types, varying according to the dosha involved and the part of the body influenced by it.
